Mostly in Matabungkay where we stayed for 3 months at cousin Alex Limjoco's family resort, Al Fresco, some in Lian and around Manila and Antipolo |
| | Christmas Eve was spent at Lolo Pacio's house in Lian. I set up an open house so my dad could meet or re-establish friendships with the Limjoco relations in Lian. Christmas day was spent at Matabungkay beach with staff from Lian and Matabungkay competing in games. Lunch was served on banana leaves, the Filipino version of paper plates The tradition is called "Kamayan",which means eating with the hands. Amy from Al Fresco arranged for a local singer to seranade my mom and dad with traditinal Filipino songs. |
| | My life has become traveling between Matabungkay beach to Al Fresco resort owned by my cousin Alex's family and the ancestral home of Lolo Bonifacio and Lola Virginia, in Lian. It's a 15 minute commute through rice and sugar cane fields, dotted with white cranes, water buffalo and green verdant hills. |

Cousin Alex Limjoco sent his company helicopter to take Dave and me to Matabungkay beach. Then we flew to Solana Dive resort and had merienda there. MVI_5511.AVI (2.2 MB)
